Treat your kids to an inexpensive hot chocolate party this season. Easy, simple “on the fly” surprises. Christmas cupcakes, balloons or even the occasional visit from the elf. With this in mind Lucy and I decided to set up an impromptu surprise for our littles to sprinkle a little magic in their day. A holiday picnic if you may. It wasn’t very hard and it didn’t take much planning, most of these items we had around the home from our holiday decor. Hot chocolate, cupcakes, candy canes, tiny gingerbread houses and of course the Elf were greeted with great big smiles. We added a little extra excitement with a “snow” inspired balloon arch as well as some fun décor by Meri Meri. The kids thoroughly enjoyed this winter surprise and we got to slow down for an afternoon and get into the Christmas spirit!
